history
& growth
La Cocinita magazine was started in May of 1996.
For two years our coverage focused almost exclusively on
the turbulent but growing food scene in Albuquerque. In
1998 we began a new and ongoing era of expansion for La
Cocinita in which we tripled our copy count and distribution
and increased the scope of our editorial coverage to include
Santa Fe, Taos and the best of the rest of New Mexico. Now
fully established, La Cocinita magazine remains the
fastest-growing periodical in New Mexico. We are dedicated
to this continued growth, with the aim of reaching an ever-greater
readership.

what
our advertisers say
We advertise with La Cocinita because we consider
it an effective way to reach the local community. It's where
we want to be.
--Jean Bernstein, owner, Double Rainbow
We
use La Cocinita because it reaches the target market
we are trying to pull in: a sophisticated, upper-end diner
that wants more than a chain restaurant.
--Terry Keene, co-owner, Artichoke Cafe
We
found that many participants in our high tea had first read
about the event in our ad in La Cocinita. We have
been very pleased with the response.
--Elaine Lewis, general manager, Bound to be Read
La Cocinita gives us the best for our buck--we get a high
number of responses from our ad, and it has longevity--one
ad gives us a great return over several weeks.
--Rob Spalding, general manager, Maria Teresa
Many
of our clients read La Cocinita and the tie in was
just a natural. We are very pleased with La Cocinita
and its staff.
--Joe McDermott owner, Kitchen Studio
Impressed
with their quality of work and ability to provide interesting
articles, we always enjoy reading La Cocinita. As
much of a fan as we were, the opportunity to advertise our
restaurant in the magazine was never exercised until a year
ago; it was then that Margaret Brown wrote an article on
our establishment. We were impressed with the significant
response we received, not to mention the fun we had meeting
fellow La Cocinita fans! Recognizing a good value,
we haven't missed an opportunity to advertise in La Cocinita
since.
--Matthew and Barbara Besse-Brewer, owners, Café Bodega
